Maira Devisscher

Maira is Senior Coordinator with ISEAL's Policy & Outreach team

Together with Norma Tregurtha, I am responsible for the management of the ISEAL Innovations Fund. In this position, I use the M&E skills I acquired during the two years I worked with the ISEAL's Impacts programme before joining the Policy & Outreach team in March 2017. I also support ISEAL's work in Latin America and the coordination of the Value and Impact Analysis (VIA) Initiative.

Before ISEAL...

I managed climate-adaptation projects in the Bolivian highlands, assisting local partners with the monitoring and evaluation of their activities. Prior to that, I served as a foreign policy analyst at a diplomatic mission and worked as a researcher in impact assessment studies concerning land and agricultural policies. I became interested in sustainability standards while writing my MBA dissertation in peri-urban organic agriculture in Bolivia. In 2010, I saw the opportunity to further explore this area with an MA in Environment, Development and Policy at the University of Sussex.
