ISEAL Alliance

Throughout 2008, the ISEAL Alliance and strategic partners have discussed upcoming challenges and opportunities for the voluntary standards movement. ISEAL’s Strategic Plan 2009-2013 strengthens ISEAL’s role as the hub for social and environmental standards systems, developing guidance and facilitating coordinated efforts to ensure their effectiveness and credibility and scale up their impacts.

It introduces ISEAL's five main targets for this five-year period:

1. Credible operating practices for social and environmental standards systems defined and maintained
2. Standards systems practitioners supported to use credible operating practices
3. Stakeholders supported to use credible operating practices
4. Credible standards systems operate as an effective movement
5. ISEAL Alliance transformed into a strong and sustainable organisation
