ISEAL values the support given by its partners, it could not succeed in its aims without them and this page acknowledges the obligation we owe to them. They, like us, have a passion to solve the social and environmental challenges of our future.
ISEAL has historically relied upon three sources of funding – governmental agencies, foundations and membership fees. In the years 2004-09 ISEAL’s budget has grown in response to the need in the global market for voluntary standards systems to be available, operative and represented.
The growth rate for ISEAL has increased significantly from 2006-07, when more voluntary standards systems and initiatives continued to emerge and a number of European funders have led the way in support.
From 2006, ISEAL was able to gain long term support to strengthen its foundation and consolidate its programmes. This provided ISEAL with a stable and solid base to plan and grow, leading to the ambitious blueprint offered by the 2009-2013 Strategic Plan. ISEAL is actively applying for charitable status in the US and the UK in order to support the viability of our global fund raising strategy.
