In order to become compliant with the ISEAL Codes of Good Practice, ISEAL member organisations complete a self-assessment with support from the ISEAL Secretariat. This self-assessment is provided as input to an Independent Evaluation panel that looks at some of the key issues of Code compliance in more depth. At this time, only ISEAL members can be assessed under the Independent Evaluation Mechanism (IEM). The procedure that guides the IEM is available here.
The ISEAL Alliance supports its members with technical assistance for compliance with the ISEAL Codes.
All members are required to show compliance within one year of joining the ISEAL Alliance or within one year after the adoption of a new Code.
